ALL ABOUT NAOMI

With a 20+ year career in the tech industry, I’ve lived the crazy hours, super demanding lifestyles, and constant drive that pushes us into burnout and chronic illness.

Aligning with my Human Design helped me recognize and embrace the natural gifts I offer the world, fostering boundaries, effective communication, and better-managed expectations. Through it all, I’ve learned how to appreciate, love, and trust myself, which has become mirrored in my personal and professional relationships.

As a Health By Human Design coach and host of the show, I aim to help you gain clarity and self-awareness in your body, mind, and emotions, so you can feel empowered, free of societal expectations, and become the best versions of yourself using a bespoke blend of Human Design and Functional Nutrition.

Episode 147: Dealing with Stress Amidst the Pandemic

This pandemic has had me asking myself many times over, ”How can I look at this situation differently?” What is normal now is uncertainty. This is one of the big battles that we’re facing at this time. We’re uncertain of what will happen to our jobs, our businesses, our families, and basically our entire lives. And all this uncertainty is causing us stress.

But what if we "think differently?" What could happen if we let go of all the mental, emotional and physical burdens that stress brings? Easier said than done, I know, but how about, instead of accepting stress as a part of the new normal, let’s take a different approach and learn ways to reframe it in a positive way.

In this episode, I share my personal experiences with stress in the first few months of the quarantine and how I’ve dealt with it.

You’ll hear me discuss:

  • Work stress

  • Facing the possibility of being laid off

  • Dealing with uncertainties

  • My personal experiences in feeling unbalanced, out of control, and defeated

  • How I took a different approach

Episode 144: Uncovering the Path towards Your Best Life through Astrology with Julien Elizabeth

If you’re someone like me who used to check the newspaper to read their daily horoscope readings, then you’re going to enjoy this episode!

Since learning about Human Design, I’ve been curious about the systems it’s based upon, astrology is one of them.

So a few months ago, I had a natal (birth) chart reading and it validated things that I innately knew about myself, that I had never shared with anyone else. And, it also enlightened me to see astrology in a new perspective.

Joining me in this episode is Julien Elizabeth (I had my natal chart reading with her). Julian is a teacher, astrologer, and writer, who’s inspired by the cycles of life, the natural world, the universe, and spirit.

As an astrologer, teacher, and yoga practitioner, her work focuses on strengthening our connection to the intuitive world. She’s motivated to create more pathways and tools for self-healing.

You’ll hear Julien and I discuss consciousness, how astrology can be used as a tool for health, and simple wisdom and aspirations to live an authentic life that reveres gratitude, compassion, and honesty!

Episode Highlights:

  • Astrology + Human Design

  • Astrology as a self-healing tool that can help us lean into our intuition, and develop self-awareness

  • How Julien got into astrology work

  • My birth chart reading experience with Julien & takeaways that I'm using as tools for health

Episode 124: Finding Calm Through Decluttering and How to Get Started with Carly Adams of The Tidy Revival

Studies have shown that clutter is a major source of stress. So how can you alleviate it? Get rid of the clutter! Perhaps you’ve already started the process while sheltering-in-place, but if you haven’t now might be a great time to get started!

Whether that’s helping clients declutter, create a Pinterest-perfect pantry, or helping busy parents re-examine the flow of their kitchen or utility closet - Carly is a self-proclaimed “organizational nerd” that loves to geek out to her clients’ benefit.

You’ll hear us discuss:

  • The Tidy Revival story

  • Her top tips of how to start decluttering when it feels so overwhelming

  • What to do when emotions take over

  • 7 tips for decluttering any space

I started decluttering my home back at the beginning of the year and with each space that I cleared, it felt like a weight lifted off my shoulders, leaving me with a lightness I haven’t felt in a long time.

I truly believe that decluttering has helped make sheltering-in-place for a prolonged period of time feel comfortable because my home is now a space that I enjoy being in.

Episode 114: The Reality of Burnout (and What To Do About It)
